Ben Plummer is currently Sr. Director of Application Development at Turner Broadcasting. He currently leads the team that provides all live data for Turner’s digital properties (e.g., CNN.com, NBA.com, NCAA.com, BleacherReport.com, etc.) across all of its products, including websites, mobile web, mobile apps, social media apps, and fantasy sports games. In addition, Ben manages the group that provides quality assurance services across Turner’s Sports and Entertainment digital brands (e.g., NBA.com, NCAA.com, PGA.com, TruTV.com, TCM.com, CartoonNetwork.com, AdultSwim.com, etc.).
From 2009 to 2011, Ben was Director of Business Operations in Turner Broadcasting's Digital Media Technologies group, where he created and managed a portfolio management program that selected, prioritized, and funded all projects and resources across the division. Ben also led the 25-member technical team that helped secure the $500M strategic partnership with NBA.
From 2006 to 2009, Ben served as the Manager of Business Operations and focused on creating and executing internal and external processes across the division, including leading a 13-month conversion of legacy systems to an enterprise-wide portfolio management system.
From 2002 to 2006, Ben helped transform all the IT operations within ConsumerSource, a division of Primedia. In this role he focused on cost savings by bringing the IT services team in house and consolidating all telecommunications, procurement, and hardware/software maintenance contracts across 165 nationwide locations.
Earlier in his career, Ben successfully ran a small company, was involved in a technology startup, and provided management consulting for the US Department of Energy.
In addition to graduating from Washington & Lee University, Ben holds an MBA from Georgia Tech.
